Frequently Asked Questions about Mobile Dog Grooming Services.

Frequently Asked Questions about Mobile Dog Grooming Services.

Do you need to use my electricity or water?

No, we do not need your electricity as our vans are equipped with generators. Our vans carry their own clean, fresh water, which is filled each morning before we begin our daily grooming appointments. We also have a water heater for use in cold temperatures and all dirty water is captured in a separate tank.

This is a one-on-one experience, ensuring that your pet will not come into contact with
other animals. Therefore, the only vaccination we require is proof of rabies.

Nope! Mobile pet grooming allows us to be so focused on your pet that they will be able to walk
freely in the van to get comfortable. Then the grooming will start. We fluffed dry your pets with a
towel and with our warm blow dryer from start to finish
Most owners of dogs and cats with longer fur opt to take their pet to the groomers once
every 4-6 weeks, while shorter-haired breeds may only visit every 8-12 weeks. You will
also need to take into consideration the speed at which your pet’s nails grow.
For safety and liability reasons, only the trained stylist and the pet are permitted inside
the van during the appointment.
It varies widely based on breed, size, frequency of grooming, behavior and service
requested. Bath only appointments usually range from 30 minutes to 2 hours. While a
full haircut package can range from 1 hour to 3 hours.
We do require that for your first appointment with us that someone is present to hand us
your pet and go over grooming instructions as well as anything important about your
pet. But no worries! If you need to head out we can put your pet back inside per your
instructions.
After the initial visit you do not need to be home for the appointment. Just leave us
access information and we can take it from there.
Yes, if your dog experiences high anxiety or displays aggression, we permit low sedation to
ensure the safety of both your dog and the groomer.

Cancellations and No-Shows

We follow the Loudoun County public school closures as they pertain to inclimate weather. We try to work as long as conditions are not dangerous. If you are unsure, please call us to confirm.

  • Cancellation and rescheduling of an appointment, by the client, requires 24 hour notice to waive the $40 cancellation fee.
  • In the event of inclement weather, a family emergency or any other
uncontrollable circumstance, the groomer has the discretion to waive the fee
    within the 24 hour period
  • We reserve the right to cancel or reschedule a groom if we feel the need to do
so. Every effort will be made to reschedule at a time convenient for both the
    client and the groomer.
No-Shows

It is considered a “no-show” when the client is not available at the scheduled appointment time and does not contact the groomer to cancel or reschedule.

  • We reserve the right to charge a $40 fee due to the loss of revenue caused by a
“no-show”. Please make every effort to call and cancel or reschedule when
    possible to avoid such situations.
  • We reserve the right to refuse service to any pet or client for any reason
Yes, our mobile service is fully licensed and insured.
With mobile grooming, your pet remains one-on-one with one stylist (versus in a shop where
they see a bather, sit in a cage dryer and then get their hair cut by a groomer). Normally at shops you drop off in the morning and don’t pick up until the evening, so they are created all day. For anxious pups (or parents) mobile tends to be much more stress free. And of course, we
come to your home or office so the pub doesn’t have to be gone all day
Mobile dog grooming offers several benefits over traditional grooming salons, including convenience, stress reduction for your pet, and personalized attention. Your dog is groomed in front of their home, eliminating the need for transportation and the anxiety associated with visiting an unfamiliar environment. Mobile groomers also have more time to dedicate to each dog, ensuring a thorough and personalized grooming experience.
When your pet is in a mobile environment they are not exposed to the stresses of a
salon. These include many distractions such as persistent barking, blow dryer noise
even when your pet is not the one being dried, many different people and voices. When
all of this is going on around your pet it can be hard to expect them to not be stressed
and to stand on a table cooperating for the grooming process. In the van it’s just the
groomer and your pet. Many hard to groom pets are completely different in the mobile
environment.
If your pet has a health condition, then mobile grooming is the much safer alternative.
Your groomer will be only focusing on your pet and the service will be provided faster
than a stand-alone salon creating less stress to your pet and its health condition.
One of the biggest advantages of mobile dog grooming is the convenience it offers.
Instead of taking time out of your busy schedule to take your dog to a salon or spa, the
groomer comes to you. This can be particularly beneficial for pet owners with multiple
pets or those who have difficulty leaving the house.
Mobile grooming has more flexibility when it comes to the hours that we provide
grooming. Mobile grooming can start earlier than most salons as well as have later
appointments too. Everyone has a busy schedule so adding a service that is less
stressful on your pet that also saves you time is a great benefit to your schedule.
